Hi, I'm Xia Lin

I'm a Software Engineer at Shopify focusing on building scalable e-commerce solutions. With a background in full-stack development, I specialize in creating high-performance web applications using React, Ruby on Rails, and cloud technologies.

After graduating from the University of Waterloo's Software Engineering program, I've had the opportunity to work on various aspects of Shopify's merchant platform, from optimizing checkout flows to building real-time analytics dashboards.

Currently, I'm leading development on merchant analytics tools that help thousands of online stores make data-driven decisions. I'm passionate about creating intuitive interfaces backed by robust, scalable architectures.

Outside of work, I contribute to open-source projects and write about software engineering on my blog. I'm particularly interested in system design, performance optimization, and developer experience.
